Hi,
My cat Rupert has broken his leg and we just got him back from the vets last night. Now I know he has to stopped from his usual habits of running jumping and sneak attacking his brothers and sisters but he looks bored stupid. Any suggestions on how to keep him entertained and AWAY from the food bowl as he has already cleared it since him came home. He is held up in the spare room to keep him away from our other cats and dogs who are all very eager to play just so he can rest.
Im lost on this one - help
Thanks
Sue.
Hello Babs,
I might not have cat with leg problem, but one of my cats is very lazy. It is so lazy that I need to play with him, while he is not moving ;P
So, while he is in some kind of box (I am using box with small and short walls) I am moving around fluffy ball he love. Or even short string of some sorts! He love it, he sometimes even hiss at his ball, and he never leaves box :)
Maybe you could try it?
lol thats for the advice, It turns out that after the first week there was no issue he was back to normal - he jumped from the bed to the press to the shelfs and kept himself amused all with the cast on. I gave him some balls to play with too but that was a bad idea as he decided to roll them around on the wooden floor at about 4.30 on a Monday morning.
The cast is off now and he is doing great - annoying his brothers and getting bullied by his sister and trying to steal my food. : )
