I would suggest using Cartrophen vet injections if your dog is suffering with osteoarthritis, I have found these make a huge difference to my retired greyhound

For those dogs with mild symptoms of OA it can also be very helpful to try supplementation with Green Lipped Mussel extract or Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate. These supplements take up to six weeks to take effect but can improve mobility and have a protective effect on the joints.

Don't forget to keep up with the vet checks in case it is something more serious.
