I'm not sure if this is a problem for people but I'm living in rented accommodation and one of the conditions of our lease is that we can't have pets. It seems fair enough or at least it would if the owners didn't have 2 dogs when they lived here (who slept indoors I might add)!! I appreciate it's their house etc. but there's something about the double standards that annoys me and makes me want a pet all the more :( Any thoughts?

I'm lucky that I lived in 2/3 houses that allowed pets. The one I'm in at the moment doesnt but my cat is quiet and has 3 legs so she can't scratch the furniture so there is no evidence!! I think a dog would probably be a problem but a cat is not really a destructive animal. Landlords need to realise that renters want a home and a house isn't a home until you have a pet :D

Ive been looking for house to rent and ive found that landlords are more ok with the idea of pets when we mentioned we have insurance for the dogs
