So this is it. My first ever blog and more importantly the first blog for www.pettalk.ie!
I want to use this first post to tell you a little bit about the site and why we’ve made it. What we want from PetTalk is a chance to share our pet stories and pictures with other pet lovers and give you a chance to do the same! There are lots of great pet forums and pet advertising sites in Ireland but nothing that said come on in and play with your pet, come post pictures of your pet, come meet other pet owners. Of course we have the forum and advertising element too but we wanted a site where you could do it all.
At the moment we have pet pages which is kind of like a FaceBook profile for your pet, pet friends which lets you make friends with other pets and their owners in a safe online environment and pet forums to share tales, jokes and grooming and healthcare tips. My favourite feature at the moment is Pet of the Month which puts your pet on the front page of the site if he/she gets the most votes (a good reason for you to tell your friends about the site and get them to vote). However, if there’s anything in particular you want on the site let us know on comments@pettalk.ie – we’re eager to make this site your one-stop-shop for all things pet-related.
Anyway, enough of the serious talk – it’s been a busy few months between designing, developing and launching but with the site now online it’s time to start having fun with it. So come on in, have a play and most of all put some pics of your pet up so we can see them!
